glamping tents
For those seeking the adventure of sleeping under canvas without having to pitch a tent.
Myall River Camp’s trio of beautifully-crafted safari-style Glamping Tents complement the natural surroundings in a private enclave by the river. Off-grid, they offer an authentic way to escape the everyday, connect with nature – and each other.
unwind in style
Each Glamping Tent is custom-made and unique in layout and décor. Celebrating local wildlife and full of character, the Glamping Tents feature upcycled lights, vintage pieces and local art, with furniture and joinery made from reclaimed timber. The interiors comprise a kitchen, living/dining area and different styles of beds – from a dreamy four poster to a cosy bed nook.
Fall asleep to the sounds of the river and the hum of the ocean beyond…
– REVIEWS FOR OUR GLAMPING TENTS –
We just loved the feeling of sitting on the deck each morning feeling like we were over the river … we also had our tinny tied up out the front. Throw a fishing line or crabpot out, enjoy the birdlife and don’t be alarmed if you think you can hear dolphins surfacing and breathing at night. It’s dolphins.”
Both styles of accommodation are very well appointed in luxurious ‘glamping’ style. The indoor or outdoor cooking facilities, hot showers, warm beds … To sit and watch the river change during the day and by the fire side at night was so spectacular … the best meal we had during our stay was the fresh flathead and bream caught straight from the river and onto the BBQ.”
a window to nature
Once unzipped, the Glamping Tent’s indoor space merges seamlessly with the outdoor deck and nature beyond. Cook on your undercover BBQ or feast on fresh local seafood.
Enjoy the front row seat of the river from your Glamping Tent’s sunken lounge… the abundant birdlife, the thrill of spotting Bottlenose Dolphins, the changing tides, and mesmerising sunsets.

Children aged nine years and older are most welcome. The glamping tents are not suitable for younger children due to the layout of the tents, beds, and the proximity to the river. We want you to take this time to relax…
We’re located riverside with our own sandy beach and stunning ocean beaches a short drive away. So swimmers, suncream and hat are a must.
Pack your walking shoes with the National Park and other great walks close-by.
Remember you are holidaying in nature so don’t forget to pack something warm particularly for nights, regardless of the season.
Your camera to snap the beauty of nature (and your co-adventurer/s)
Binoculars for wildlife and bird spotting.
We provide personal insect repellent and mosquito coils. But if you have a preference for repellent, please bring your own.

Yes, fires are permitted in the fire pit provided, and we provide a bag of firewood for each stay. More firewood bags are available to purchase at reception.
NOTE: Fires can only be lit in accordance with local fire regulations. If in doubt, ask our staff or check the RFS website for fire bans. Fires cannot be lit when windy due to the increased risks. It is also your responsibility to extinguish a fire before leaving it.
Myall River Glamping area has a sandy access point.
The Myall River is often the colour of dark tea due to the tea tree oils dropped in upstream. This is reputed to be good for skin and hair care.
When taking a dip, guests are cautioned to consider the current and tides and their own swimming ability.
We are an off-grid campground and our tents are powered by the sun and gas bottles.
We have no WIFI.
USB charging ports are supplied in the tinies for mobile phone charging (as we suspect you’ll want to take a pic or two).
Each tent has a power board designed to enable personal COMPUTERS ONLY to be charged. Unfortunately, if other appliances are connected to this powerboard (such as hairdryers/hair straighteners) a breaker will be tripped cutting power to the whole tent.
Our tents are a great place to disconnect from everyday devices so connect with nature instead.
Our tents have double-layer, all weather canvas insulation and are water-tight. They are designed for guests to be as comfortable as possible in all weather conditions. Our decks are undercover with BBQ and furniture so you can still enjoy being outdoors.
Summer
We take advantage of the wind, by raising and lowering tent flaps to generate air flow. We also provide low voltage fans. All important – the river is only footsteps away.
Winter
Each tent has blankets, rugs and hot water bottles (heaters to come). The outdoor fire pit is a favourite winter activity.
If you are particularly sensitive to hot or cold weather, please book according to the seasons. We do not provide refunds due to adverse or inclement weather or other circumstances beyond our control.
