Small, but mighty, our Tiny Houses are less than 2 metres wide, and filled with all the comfort you could possibly need in nature. Solar-powered, our tinies have been sustainably constructed using recycled corrugated iron, reclaimed windows, and scrap timber. They have cosy beds, quality linen, and an ensuite bathroom, including a hot shower and botanical toiletries.

A Holiday to Remember
5.0/5
“The Bowerbird tiny house was so comfy and everything that makes a holiday. We loved relaxing by the camp fire every night and having BBQs. The shower was amazing and always hot. It was great to sit and watch the wildlife and hear the possums rustling outside at night. So close to the beach, National Park. What more can you want to get away from the city. Thank you Maree and Mac for a holiday to remember.”

Bliss
5.0/5
“My family 2A + 2C recently stayed in the Koala Tent whilst my parents stayed in the Cockatoo Tiny House. What an amazing few nights away from the rush of modern life … just to sit on the deck and watch the generations of my family interact over food, wine and conversation – bliss!
Both styles of accommodation are very well appointed in luxurious ‘glamping’ style. The indoor or outdoor cooking facilities, hot showers, warm beds … To sit and watch the river change during the day and by the fire side at night was so spectacular … the best meal we had during our stay was the fresh flathead and bream caught straight from the river and onto the BBQ.”

Idyllic
5.0/5
“My husband and I stayed in the beautiful Bowerbird Tiny House for four nights … and it was idyllic. The Tiny House is in the perfect location. Fully shaded and with plenty of private outdoor space to sit by the fire or lay under a tree and read. The campsite is close to local shops, pubs and beaches so its super easy if you want to get out and do something else. The staff at Myall River were incredibly friendly and helpful. We will for sure be going back again!”

Unique Tiny House Stay
5.0/5
“Arriving to a softly lit Tiny Home nestling amongst the trees was truly magical. Waking up to birdsong and the soft gurgle of the river in the morning was even better. The Tiny Homes are … thoughtfully placed in a gorgeous secluded leafy corner, so you feel like you have your own ‘cabin in the woods’.”

The houses are set back slightly from the main camping providing a lovely sense of privacy. Nature, wildlife, river, lovely beaches.”

unique as nature itself

Each Tiny House is individually furnished and decorated. Pre-loved suitcases store glassware, and spoons have been repurposed into kitchen handles.

Outdoor furniture, crafted locally from recycled timber, allows guests to experience the sights and sounds of the bush. Outdoor fire pits are perfect for toasting marshmallows.

Spot one of the old pennies inlaid in the woodwork and make a wish!

a tiny tale

Myall River Camp’s Tiny Houses aim to inspire sustainable holidays.

The Tiny Houses were constructed by the environmental not-for-profit, Bower Reuse and Repair Centre in Sydney.

They are affectionately named after the native Cockatoos and Bowerbirds that frequent the area, while one aptly shares the name of the organisation that built them.

They were constructed atop a trailer, driven to Hawks Nest, parked in our bushland setting and completed on-site.

The off-grid pair are testament to the fact that every ‘tiny’ step we take today, by recycling and saving energy, can make a big impact tomorrow.
